No matter how well you plan your project or how good your contractor is, every home renovation project has variables. I remodeled an entire 2,000-square-foot house and lived to tell about it on my own blog. The only thing we couldn't do was build a makeshift kitchen, so eating three meals a day away from home became tedious very quickly, so I encourage others to find a viable place for at least an evening snack or that important first cup of coffee in the morning. During all the chaos, have a clean room where you can escape.
Do not allow boxes, construction debris, or additional items in this room. Every time you feel stressed, take ten and clear your mind. A significant part of the homeowners we work with are creatures of habit whose daily routines serve to provide them with a structure for managing daily tasks. When it comes to your routine, a renewal can take you out of your usual routine and put you in a state of change.
Whenever possible, try to stick to your regular schedule strictly. While you may have to organize a game night at a friend's house during an extension home or eat more takeout than usual during a complete kitchen remodel, following your normal routine can help limit disruptions in your daily life. We manage renovations of homes of different sizes, from renovations of the entire house to projects that stay in a single room, usually a kitchen or a bathroom. If you decide to stay in your home during the renovation, choose a place where you can cook, eat, and just relax that's away from the debris of the demonstration.
I agree that it's important to stay healthy during a home renovation by having plans and then having backup plans for them.
